Steel Distribution

The reputation of this Division has been built on the handling and distribution of long steel products, including heavy beams, coils and hollow section for the construction industry. Our expertise also extends to the transport of strip coil, piling and rod in coil. We also collect and distribute lumber, plant, engineering products and bagged materials - in fact almost any item which can be transported by road.

Our articulated vehicles, designed for products of 22 metres or more in length are all equipped with G.P.S. vehicle tracking systems to enable customers to receive regular progress reports on urgent or sensitive deliveries.

Strategically placed hubs and out-bases located around the country enables us to provide the highest level of service within the supply chain and our vehicles make daily deliveries the length and breadth of the country.

Our modern, purpose built storage facilities extend to over a hectare holding manufacturers’ and suppliers’ stocks prior to onward delivery into the U.K. market. We offer both internal and external storage facilities for light and heavy products handled by overhead cranes or our fleet of fork lift trucks. Proven management systems use interactive IT to maintain strict inventory control and ‘track and trace’ from receipt to delivery. Service provision is totally flexible and can be tailored to customer’s demands to include receipt of orders, product inspection and sampling, labelling and marking, re-packing or secondary value-added processing.
