Position Site Manager

 

Experienced site manager to join an expanding regional team to work on building projects up to £10m.

    Purpose of the Role

    A senior site based representative, providing day to day administration, control and co-ordination of site activities as required by the Project Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare short term programmes compatible with main contract programme and liaise with Project Manager to ensure that adequate resources are made available to maintain required progress.
    • Develop method statements/risk assessments as necessary to ensure that work on site is properly executed.
    • Ensure that adequate records are maintained.
    • Ensure that the company’s administrative, quality assurance, Health & Safety, and financial procedures are complied with.
    • Liaise with Project Manager to ensure consistency of approach and communication necessary to satisfy the requirements of the project and the Company

    Typical Experience/Qualifications

    • Technical qualification to BSc/HND/C. or proven trade management expertise.
    • Minimum eight years site experience.
    • A proven ability to manage projects in excess of £3m without assistance.
    • Commercial acumen.
    • An ability to lead staff and create teamwork with all involved parties.
    • Ability to represent the Company to the Client and Design Team.
    • Someone with less experience would typically be an Assistant Site Manager.
