New Contracts: Clugston North East Secure Barnard Castle Contract

The Hub at Barnard Castle, County Durham has been successfully awarded to Clugston by Teesdale Community Resources to construct a £4.3m new Community Resource Facility specifically for 14—19 years olds.

The building which will have a green roof and stone façade will house a dance studio, café, recording studio, vehicle maintenance facility, spa and a crèche.

External works will include the creation of a canoe lake, BMX track, skate bowl, high rope course, wetland and nature trails.

The project is aiming to attain a high level BREEAM rating and will feature a biomass type boiler plant, rainwater storage and reed-bed drainage.
