Bishop Lays Foundation Stone

The Bishop of Middlesbrough, Terence Patrick Drainey, laid and blessed the foundation stone at the new St Paulinus Church, Guisborough, currently under construction by Clugston Construction.

The Bishop was joined at the ceremony by Canon Michael Bayldon, parish priest of St Paulinus, parishioners, children from the nearby St Paulinus parish school and members of the Clugston site team.

For the Diocese, it was a memorable event as St Paulinus is the first church to be built since Bishop Drainey became Bishop in January 2008. The church will be ready for use by the end of the year.
