Press Release

CLUGSTON PROVES TO BE CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTOR AGAIN

Clugston Construction have been awarded a bronze medal for the Morrison Superstore York project at this years Considerate Constructors awards.

Commenting on the project the judges said "This project consisted of theconstruction of a new superstore on the city of Yorks inner ring road. There was a continuous engagement with pedestrians and business on this project and Clugston and their site team, led by Paul Bullimore achieved a high standard of care and accountability in respect of the effect of the construction process on their neighbours."

"The site set up and security arrangements were very well organised and all of the subcontractors were strongly encouraged to comply with the Considerate Constructors Scheme's Code of Considerate Practice. Among the many excellent site initiatives was the issuing of gift vouchers for good safety suggestions and the translation of the induction procedure into German for the benefit of some sub-contractors and warning signage into Lithuanian for scaffold operatives. The project displayed throughout a high level of good neighbourliness of which the client and Clugston Construction can be justifiably proud."

The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards recognise only the very highest standards of performance of any company that registers its sites with the Scheme.  This year, only 480 Awards are to be presented to sites selected from 6500 eligible projects.
