Topographical (Land) Surveys

As part of a construction company, we recognise that a topographical survey forms the basis and the start of any quality construction design and tendering process, latterly providing the fundamental control that governs position of all drafted elements.

It is vital that this information is collated accurately and presented in a usable format, relative to surrounding infrastructure and referenced to appropriate datums.

Using the Latest Trimble Survey Instruments supported with the use of Leica GPS, we collect site data in 3D format prior to digital drawing production.

2D AutoCAD Digital Drawing

This is the most common type of drawing produced for use by Architects or Consultants showing all ground features in detail with annotated levels, and in most cases contours depicting the topography.

3D AutoCAD Digital Drawing

The same detail is shown within this type of production as the 2D drawing however, digitally the drawing is a true representation of the topography. (DTM – Digital Terrain Model). This is typically used by Infrastructure Engineers and imported into specific design packages.

In this case, our Project Managers will speak directly with the Client to ensure the works are surveyed, drawn and exported in a format that their specific design package supports.
