Public Private Partnerships

Since the inception of the private finance initiative Clugston have been an active participant and were successful as both sponsor, investor and deliverer of design build and facilities management too one of the first wave healthcare pfis projects. The £18.5million concession to design build and operate a new otrolarongology facility at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham was the uks first major extension to be delivered under this new procurement route. Having gained the skills and built up an excellent network of advisors we have since delivered several other pfi schemes in health and education either as a sponsor or as a key member of a consortia.

More recently this experience has been employed to support bids in the emerging Building Schools for the Future programme where Clugstons are providing both technical resources to bidders or are sponsoring bids ourselves. With resources in both construction and facilities management we are able to provide an integrated service which delivers and accepts true whole life responsibility. This enables users be they in health, education or other sectors to concentrate their activates on delivering their core services without diverting attention to the built environment.
