This Design and Build contract was awarded on a negotiated basis with Benchmark Properties.

Clugston was appointed to demolish an existing fire/ ambulance station and subsequently construct a new Primary Care Centre. The objective of the scheme was to provide a high quality, low maintenance, value for money building with a long life. All of these objectives were met or exceeded.

The building is two storeys and accommodates seven GP's with 17 consulting rooms. The first floor of the development comprises social services administration, mental health facilities, a library, seminar rooms for education purposes and a school nurse facility. It is an impressive building with a two storey glazed atrium and detailed brickwork with art-stone features. The success of this project, both in terms of the quality of the end product and the relationships developed with the key parties, has led to further schemes to be constructed for Benchmark Properties.
