This contract includes 770,000 sq.ft of warehousing and 20,000 sq.ft. of office space, ancillary buildings, access roads, 48,000 sq.m. of parking, yard and lorry parking, infrastructure and a rainwater balancing pond (approx. 7,000 sq.metres).

The scheme attributed early completion to the time and effort invested in the preplanning stage and efficient management during the site phase. Clugstonʼs project team has employed around 300 people at its peak and also provided work for many local firms in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East. 2,500 tonnes of steel from Corus in Scunthorpe and Teesside and 90,000 sq.metres of cladding were used for the roof and walls of this giant building. Other notable statistics include 350,000 cu.metres of earth moved, 72,000 sq.metres of internal concrete paving (large enough for 18 football pitches or 7,000 double decker buses) and almost 9 miles of underground drainage.
